The Top Ten Reasons why Farm Trucks are Never Stolen

I found this one day in a NAPA in a small town on the Arkansas-Oklahoma border, thought it was funny, so I copied it down.

Reason No. 10: They only have a range of around twenty miles before they either break down, or they run out of gas.

Reason No. 9: Only the driver knows how to operate the door.

Reason No. 8: It's difficult to drive fast with all the bits, tools, grease rags, ropes, strings, syringes, boots, buckets and newspapers flying all around the cab.

Reason No. 7: It takes too long to start, and the smoke coming up through the floorboards makes it hard to see.

Reason No. 6: The border collie on the toolbox looks mean.

Reason No. 5: You'd be too easy to spot. The description given to the sherriff's office would go something like this:"The driver's side door is green, the passenger side door is red, the right front fender is yeller..."

Reason No. 4: The big round bale in the back makes it hard to see if you're being chased. You COULD use the mirrors....if they weren't cracked and covered with duct tape.

Reason No. 3: Top speed is only forty-five miles per hour.

Reason No. 2: Who wants a truck that needs a year's worth of maintainance, $3000 worth of bodywork, tail lights and a windshield?

And the No. 1 reason farm trucks are NEVER sloten is.....It's very, VERY difficult to commit a crime when everyone is waving at you.
