Snow is a good thing, we need more of it more often.
Ice....not so much.
Church was canceled Sunday, so mostly just sat around in my dorm and alternately froze and was scorched by the heater. Went up to the gas station, needed some protein bars. Also uploaded some pictures to Facebook, worked on a new short story. Heard from Amanda. Then skated down to the BCM for some pancakes, the end-of-semester all-campus pancake feed went well. Also went for a walk that night. Been doing that a lot this past week.
Talked to Ash on Saturday night, it was good to hear from her.
Campus was closed yesterday, moving all scheduled finals back to Wednesday. That hasn't gone over so well. Neither has being iced in. We're all "this close" to exploding, which is why sarcasm levels are set to "scathing" setting, it's the only way to survive. Physical energy levels are extremely low. Mentally, we're running at 12,000 mph...
Watched Thor Sunday night, and Captain America last night. Also checked on the streets and sidewalks of campus, except for a pond you could nearly play hockey on covering the entirety of Leoser's parking lot, campus is in nearly perfect condition. Downtown still needs some work, but it's highly walkable. (Maybe I should go down to Morgan's this week, haven't been in about a month.)
REALLY wanted to sing 80's rock songs at the top of my lungs, or play volleyball, or something... Just to give this energy an outlet somehow. I don't like being cooped up inside with severe quietness and boredom as companions. Too much like all of last year.
Lots of things running through my head, I've been thinking way too much. Lots of quotes, too, mostly from friends. And The Sound of Music and the following exchange from Toy Story: Woody: "It's not a LASER! It's a little light bulb that blinks!" Hamm: "What's with him?" Mr. Potato Head: "Laser envy."
Probably some more studying today, not sure what else. I just need a 6 on my Latin final tomorrow to pass with an A.
